Cheat days help as well. You can begin to resent your diet when it’s the same old thing day in day out. So having a day where you can eat what you like is a good idea.
If you have a big appetite, you could always opt for changing your cooking techniques. My recipe below is for a guilt free Chicken and Pasta dish that should give you some inspiration. Remember, there is no right or wrong in catering. If you like it, eat it.
Creamy Chicken and Bacon with Pasta for 2
1 large chicken breast (or 2 average ones) Sliced into strips
50g cubed Pancetta (add more if you like)
1 Red, Yellow and Green Pepper Sliced into strips
1 Red Onion Coarsely Chopped or Sliced
50g Button Mushrooms (add more if you like)
50g Cherry Tomatoes (halved)
150g Reduced Fat Cream Cheese
4 bundles of Tagilatelli
In a large, no stick pan, cook the Chicken and Pancetta over a medium high heat.
Once cooked, throw all of the vegetables and the cream cheese into the pan and mix until the cream cheese has melted into a sauce and stir, reduce the heat to a simmer.
Bring a pan of water to the boil and submerge the pasta and cook.
Once the pasta is nearly cooked, bring the chicken to a high heat for one last blast of heat.
Drain the pasta
Serve piping hot.
